Bundle Builder

Overview

Bundle Builder lets you create a multi-step shopping experience where customers can choose products from different steps and build their own bundle.

You can use Bundle Builder to create:

• Custom product kits

• Gift boxes

• "Pick 3" or "Pick 5" offers

• Skincare or beauty routines

• Meal or snack kits

• Guided product bundles

Bundle Builder can be displayed on a dedicated storefront page. You can also show a Build Your Box option on product pages to direct customers to the builder.

Note: Bundle Builder is available on the Standard plan for live stores. It is available for free on development stores.

Before You Start

Before creating a Bundle Builder:

• Make sure Rabbit Fast Bundle & Upsell is installed.

• Enable the app embed in your Shopify theme.

• Make sure your store is on the required plan.

• Prepare the products or collections you want to include in your bundle.

Create a Bundle Builder

1. Open Rabbit Fast Bundle & Upsell

From your Shopify admin, open Rabbit Fast Bundle & Upsell.

2. Create a New Bundle

Click Create Bundle and select Bundle Builder.

3. Configure Basic Settings

Enter the basic information for your bundle:

• Offer name — The internal name of your bundle.

• Bundle title — The title customers will see.

• Display location — Choose where the Build Your Box option should appear.

4. Set Up the Builder Page

Choose the storefront page where customers will build their bundle.

You can configure the page URL and handle so customers can access the builder through a dedicated link.

For example:

yourstore.com/pages/build-your-box

5. Add Builder Steps

Create the steps customers will follow when building their bundle.

You can create up to 5 steps.

For each step, configure:

• Step name

• Product source

• Minimum quantity

• Maximum quantity

• Required or optional step

You can select products from:

• A Shopify collection

• Specific products

Use collections when you have a large product catalog or want the available products to update automatically.

6. Configure the Bundle Discount

Choose how customers receive their bundle discount.

Available discount types may include:

• Percentage discount

• Fixed amount discount

• Fixed bundle price

Configure the discount based on the offer you want to create.

7. Add Optional Extras

You can enhance your Bundle Builder with additional options such as:

• Free gifts

• Upsells

• Product exclusions

• Additional offer settings

Use these options to increase the value of the bundle without making the builder difficult to use.

8. Customize the Builder Design

Customize how the Bundle Builder appears on your storefront.

Depending on the available settings, you can configure:

• Tabs or accordion layout

• Hero section

• Product cards

• Product filters

• Cart section

• Product selection modal

• Buttons and labels

Make sure the design matches your store's branding and remains easy to use on mobile devices.

9. Add Translations

If your store supports multiple languages, add translations for the Bundle Builder content and customer-facing text.

Review the translated content before activating the bundle.

10. Save and Activate

When everything is configured:

1. Click Save.

2. Review your settings.

3. Activate the Bundle Builder.

4. Open the storefront page and test the experience.

Theme Setup

Theme setup is optional depending on how you want customers to access the Bundle Builder.

Add the Build Your Box Card

If you want customers to access the builder from a product page:

1. Open Online Store → Themes in Shopify.

2. Click Customize.

3. Open the relevant product template.

4. Make sure the Rabbit Fast Bundle & Upsell app embed is enabled.

5. Add or enable the Build Your Box section/card if available.

6. Save your theme.

Use the Bundle Builder Page

You can also link directly to your Bundle Builder page from:

• Navigation menus

• Product pages

• Homepage banners

• Collection pages

• Promotional campaigns

• Email campaigns

Test Your Bundle Builder

Before making your Bundle Builder available to customers, test the complete customer journey.

Check that:

• All builder steps appear correctly.

• Products can be selected and removed.

• Minimum and maximum quantities work correctly.

• Required steps cannot be skipped.

• The correct discount is applied.

• The bundle is added to the cart correctly.

• The experience works correctly on mobile.

Also test your bundle with the markets and currencies your store supports.

Tips

• Start with a simple builder before creating complex bundles.

• Use collections when you have a large product catalog.

• Keep the number of steps manageable.

• Set clear minimum and maximum quantities.

• Use descriptive step names so customers know what to choose.

• Test the complete checkout flow before launching.

• Always test the builder on mobile devices.
