Product Page SEO
Every product in your store gets its own dedicated SEO editor inside Stars SEO. Open it by going to Products in the app and clicking any item in the list.
What You Can Edit
Title & description — the customer-facing product content.
Meta title & meta description — what appears in Google search results; these are separate from the on-page title/description so you can optimize each independently.
URL handle — the product's web address slug.
Main keyword & related keywords — the target terms this page is optimized around.
FAQs — optional Q&A pairs shown on the storefront via the Product FAQ block.
Product images — each image supports alt text generation and compression individually, since products often have several.
Step-by-Step Workflow
Generate keywords. Click "Generate keywords" to pull AI + Google Keyword Planner-backed suggestions, each with estimated search volume and competition (Low/Medium/High).
Review the checklist. A live SEO checklist below the editor tracks factors like keyword-in-title, keyword-in-URL, content length, keyword density, and related-keyword usage — each item turns green as it's satisfied, and the score at the top is always a direct reflection of that checklist (never a separate, disconnected number).
Edit manually, or use Fix All. You can rewrite any field by hand, or click "Fix all issues" to let AI handle title, description, meta tags, FAQs, alt text, and image compression in one automated pass (see the Fix All article for details).
Handle images. For each product image, you can click "Generate alt text" for an AI-written description, and "Compress" to shrink its file size — both are previewed first and don't touch Shopify until you save.
Save. The save bar at the top tracks every pending change — text edits, keyword changes, and pending image compression — and commits everything together when you click Save.
Multiple Images
Because products commonly have several images, each one gets its own row with its own alt-text field, its own compress button, and its own "-X% pending save" badge once compressed. You don't have to compress every image at once — you can pick and choose, then save.
Tips
Run "Generate keywords" before "Fix all issues" if you want to review suggested keywords first — Fix All will generate them automatically if none exist, but reviewing first lets you swap out a keyword you don't like before content is written around it.
If you only need a quick fix (say, just the meta description), you don't need to run the full Fix All — each field has its own smaller "regenerate" action.
