Overview
SS Upsell & Cross Sell is built to work with Shopify's Online Store 2.0 architecture and is compatible with most modern Shopify themes.
The app uses Shopify App Blocks and App Embeds, making installation simple without requiring any code changes. If your store uses a custom or heavily modified theme, the app can still work with minor configuration.

With Online Store 2.0, you can:

• Enable or disable App Embeds without editing theme code.

Vintage (Legacy) Themes
The app works best with Online Store 2.0 themes.
If you're using a legacy (Vintage) Shopify theme:
• Some App Blocks may not be available.
• Certain features may require manual theme integration.

Custom Themes
If your store uses a custom-built theme, SS Upsell & Cross Sell can still work in most cases.

Cart Drawer Compatibility
The Cart Drawer Upsell feature is compatible with most themes that use Shopify's standard AJAX Cart.
The widget automatically updates whenever products are added, removed, or updated in the cart.
If your theme uses a custom cart drawer, additional configuration may be required.
How to Check if Your Theme is Supported
You can verify compatibility in a few simple steps:
Open your Shopify Admin.
Navigate to Online Store → Themes.
Click Customize on your active theme.
Add an SS Upsell App Block.
If the block appears in the editor, your theme supports Shopify App Blocks.

If you cannot find the App Block:
• Confirm that your app is installed correctly.
• Make sure you're using an Online Store 2.0 theme.
